Murray Cypress

 The Murray Cypress (Cupressocyparis leylandii ‘Murray’) is a fast-growing evergreen prized as a hardy alternative to the traditional Leyland Cypress. Known for its resilience and dense, feathery green foliage, it makes an excellent choice for privacy screens, windbreaks, and large landscape plantings. Murray Cypress typically grows 3–4 feet per year, reaching heights of 30–40 feet tall and 8–10 feet wide, with a naturally pyramidal shape. It thrives in full sun, adapts well to most soils with good drainage, and is hardy in USDA Zones 6–10. More disease- and drought-resistant than Leyland Cypress, it offers a durable, low-maintenance solution for creating quick, attractive evergreen barriers.
